PETROL is an agency located in Burbank that has been in business for the last 14 years. We are a full-service creative agency that specializes in the Entertainment and Tech Industries with a focus on gaming clientele.

We are looking for an intern to assist our Social Media Department manage our existing client work as we grow and expand in 2017. The majority of the responsibilities will be focused on managing the posting and scheduling of content for our clients. The intern will assist the Social Media Department with content production, coordinating images and copy for daily posting and formulating strategy for upcoming campaigns In addition, the intern will sit in on internal meetings for current and future clients and assist in brainstorms for campaign development as needed. This is not a client-facing role although it can grow into one.

An ideal candidate would have a clear love for video games, the video game industry and entertainment. Additionally, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and other programs in the Adobe Suite is highly desired. Specifically, light image manipulation and video editing preferred. We’re willing to teach but it always helps if a candidate has been exposed to the programs. In addition, the intern will sit in on internal meetings for current and future clients and assist in brainstorms for campaign development as needed.

During this 3-month internship some of the skills you will learn include:

Managing a brand on social media
Content management and creation for client facing channels
Communication skills across departments and with C-level executives
Social media campaign development from ideation to execution and reporting



  • Interested in Gaming, Tech and Entertainment required
  • Attending College or a recent graduate strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, Vine, YouTube, Reddit, Messenger Apps, etc)
  • Interest in Gaming, Tech and Entertainment
  • Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills
  • Understands the responsibilities of working under an NDA
  • Desire to work with and learn from all departments of an Advertising and Marketing Agency
  •  Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
  • Video editing experience a plus
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to mutli-task
  • Ability to take direction
